My skincare mantra for my patients has always been: Protect, enhance, and troubleshoot.I created MMSkincare to do all of those things, for people of any age and with any type of skin, in an effective, uncomplicated, and super personalized system, powered by your own dynamic, beautiful skin.

Dr. Ellen Marmur

Dr. Ellen Marmur is a dermatologic surgeon with 15 years of experience. She attended Vassar College (Philosophy and Japanese), UC Berkeley (pre-med), Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AOA, Distinction in Research, American Medical Women’s Association Honor), Mount Sinai Hospital (Internship, Leadership Award), NYH Cornell (Residency in Dermatology), and completed an American College of Mohs Surgery Fellowship (with laser and cosmetic fellowship, Mount Sinai Hospital, NYC). She has performed over 10,000 skin cancer surgeries and is a high volume injector and cosmetic dermatologist winning numerous media awards (Allure Magazine; Best Filler in NYC; Best Botox in NY, NY Best Doctors, Castle Connelly Best Dermatologists.)

Dr. Marmur is an unexpected, serial entrepreneur. After 8 years in full time academia, she founded Marmur Medical, her private dermatology practice, in 2012. In 2017, she opened In & Out Derm called MM2.

Dr. Marmur received two humanitarian awards (City of Hope, Melanoma Research Fund) and the President’s Award (American Academy of Dermatology) for creating the philanthropy called Skin Cancer, Take a Hike! With a team of skin cancer prevention heroes, she has summited Mount Kilimanjaro, and peaks in Patagonia, Alaska, and throughout the USA. Raising over $1 million through grassroots efforts, 100% of the money provides shade structures and early skin exams to prevent and detect skin cancers.

NATURAL

On my treks in Patagonia, Mt. Kilimanjaro, and Denali, Alaska, I observed how different plants adapt to their environments. In Tanzania, there’s a huge aloe plant that opens its long, funnel-like leaves at night to capture dew, which helps it thrive in such an arid, high-altitude climate. Our skin does the same thing, constantly responding in miraculous, sophisticated ways to changes in light, temperature, or humidity. The ingredients in MMSkincare were carefully formulated to work in synergy with these amazing adaptive processes.

TECH

For years, scientists and dermatologists thought that the only way to get significant results from skincare was if the active ingredients could penetrate deep enough into the skin. The problem is that most topical products don’t absorb past the surface layer.But what if ingredients applied on top of the skin could talk to the collagen through signals, like the internet does, without actually physically moving deep into the skin?

MMSkincare actually reacts to your body heat and circadian rhythms, as well as to light in the environment, and responds to your skin’s needs.It communicates with your skin through internet-like signals in order to help calm, rejuvenate, and protect.
