Dr. Ellen Marmur is a dermatologic surgeon with 15 years of experience. She attended Vassar College (Philosophy and Japanese), UC Berkeley (pre-med), Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AOA, Distinction in Research, American Medical Women’s Association Honor), Mount Sinai Hospital (Internship, Leadership Award), NYH Cornell (Residency in Dermatology), and completed an American College of Mohs Surgery Fellowship (with laser and cosmetic fellowship, Mount Sinai Hospital, NYC). She has performed over 10,000 skin cancer surgeries and is a high volume injector and cosmetic dermatologist winning numerous media awards (Allure Magazine; Best Filler in NYC; Best Botox in NY, NY Best Doctors, Castle Connelly Best Dermatologists.)
Dr. Marmur is an unexpected, serial entrepreneur. After 8 years in full time academia, she founded Marmur Medical, her private dermatology practice, in 2012. In 2017, she opened In & Out Derm called MM2.
Dr. Marmur received two humanitarian awards (City of Hope, Melanoma Research Fund) and the President’s Award (American Academy of Dermatology) for creating the philanthropy called Skin Cancer, Take a Hike! With a team of skin cancer prevention heroes, she has summited Mount Kilimanjaro, and peaks in Patagonia, Alaska, and throughout the USA. Raising over $1 million through grassroots efforts, 100% of the money provides shade structures and early skin exams to prevent and detect skin cancers.
