Should You Combine CoolSculpting with Thermage and Ulthera?

CoolSculpting body contouring procedures and Thermage and/or Ulthera skin tightening procedures are not only safe but incredibly effective. However, you can increase that effectiveness by putting the two together!

While some people may think CoolSculpting is the same as Thermage, CoolSculpting removes stubborn fat, and Thermage tightens loose skin. By combining CoolSculpting, Thermage, and/or Ulthera, you can tighten skin and reduce fat to trim and tone your body effectively.

At Marmur Medical and the MM Body Contouring Center, we believe these non-invasive treatments can greatly improve our patients’ lives. We invite you to experience your dramatically enhanced body contours by combining CoolSculpting and Thermage for yourself!

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive, fat-reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to safely target and eliminate fat. With CoolSculpting, you’ll achieve natural-looking long-lasting results that transform your body with a flatter stomach, thinner thighs, under your chin, flanks, upper back, arms, and more.

While CoolSculpting is not a weight loss treatment, it works by freezing fat cells so they expand, bursting the cell walls. After the frozen fat cells thaw from body heat, they break down and become liquified in a reaction called lipolysis. This liquid is absorbed by the body and safely excreted through the body’s waste systems.

There is a very rare chance of something called paradoxical fat hypertrophy in very few patients. Over the years, we had only one patient experience temporary swelling or fat hypertrophy on her abdomen, where we also noted prominent veins, that went away with one short course of a Medrol steroid pack. Safety is more important to us than anything at Marmur Medical, and if you feel you are not a good candidate for CS, ask us about liposuction with Allura, laser assisted liposuction.

What is Thermage?

Thermage is a non-invasive procedure that uses ThermaCool technology to heat the deeper layers of the skin while cooling the superficial layers of skin simultaneously. Through this process, the treated skin begins to tighten and produce collagen almost immediately. Collagen is one of the key elements for developing healthy, more youthful-looking skin.

The Thermage procedure offers long-term results to enhance the appearance of your skin and overall figure. The increased collagen improves the appearance of your skin for up to six months, and the results can last up to two years.

What is Ulthera?

Using ultrasound-guided delivery of heat to the skin’s greatest collagen reservoirs, Ulthera stimulates the synthesis of new collagen and amplifies the collagen remodeling process to achieve tighter, younger-looking skin. This makes up for years’ worth of age-related collagen loss. Ulthera differs from similar technologies, including traditional lasers and radiofrequency devices, in that it can reach greater depths to deliver precise amounts of energy at controlled temperatures optimal for neocollagenesis.

The ultrasound guided technology allows the provider to personalize your treatment. With the optimized ultrasound transducer, we can visualize the depth of your collagen reservoirs at different levels in the skin at various anatomic areas such as the eye area, face, neck, or the thicker skin of the abdomen or knees and beyond. This, in turn, results in a significant lifting of tissue over 3-6 months.

How CoolSculpting, Thermage, and Ulthera Work Together

CoolSculpting, Thermage, and Ulthera work together to reshape your contours by reducing fat and addressing the loose skin that often accompanies it. Together, these treatments can help restore patients’ confidence and enhance their appearance.

By combining Thermage, Ulthera, and CoolSculpting, you can achieve amazing results without significant downtime. CoolSculpting helps you eliminate stubborn fat that just doesn’t budge, Thermage tightens your skin to make it more taut and trim, and Ulthera restores new collagen to make the skin appear more youthful. The treatments complement each other, leaving your skin feeling tighter and your body looking slimmer and sculpted.

CoolSculpting and Thermage can be used on several areas, including:

  • Thighs
  • Abdomen
  • Arms
  • Neck
  • Other exercise-resistant areas
